I just purchased and installed the Dx 2.0 on my savage. I connected my freshly charged hump pack, installed 8 new AAs and then binded the radio to the receiver.

I started the truck and drove it up and down the street. It would lose the signal at about 50 yards and the fail safe would put on the brakes and bring the truck to a stop. I started walking towards it and it would not pick up the signal again until I was about 25 yards from it.

The antenna on the receiver is vertical and I have the antenna up on the transmitter. So I rebinded the rx to the tx and the same thing happened.

I took it out again today with Blazer X and again it would lose the signal at about 50 yards. Something else we realized is that even if I am at 25 yards or so and turn around so that my body is inbetween the rx and tx, there is no signal and the light on the receiver goes off.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I am going to contact Ultimate Hobbies on Monday to discuss the issue with them.

I had a RX on the 3.0 do this after I got it wet. Did you buy it new or used? Sorry I can't be more helpful but thats the only problem I have ever had with the spektrum products. For reference I have 2.0 and 3R sold 3.0. I wish you Luck Zud! ~Justin

return and get another i bought my dx3.0 new and it was a factory defect when i got it i wasnt the only one either my was worst it woulnt work period

I didn't really check out Futaba because the guys I bash with run Spektrum and don't' have issues. I knew if I had questions setting it up they would be able to help. I got it for $145 from Ultimate-that is cheaper than anywhere else I found. Isn't Futaba like $200?

I'll just call and send it back.

My Futaba 3PM Fasst was 189.00 at my LHS....

I tried a few things to figure out exaclty what the problem was. I binded a different Specktrum radio to my reciever and it was fine. However, I binded my radio to a different receiver and discovered that the radio is bad. I walked it off and i only get 40 yards of range. I am going to send back the radio to Horizon.

I sent the radio to horizon today. We'll see how long it takes them to get one back to me and hopefully it will be fine!!!!

My experience with Spektrum was great. I have the 3.0 and dropped it when it was 3 weeks old. The antenna broke, and is not a user serviceable item. I sent it in and they replaced and tested for FREE! about a 3 week turn around, but worth the wait!

Hey guys-i sent my radio to golden horizon with a hand written note letting them know what was wrong with it. I sent the radio and receiver. Three weeks later, I got a package. It was a whole new box of the dx2.0 including the receiver i sent them, so now i have two receivers!!! it was a 3 week turn around. I'm very pleased with the service. now i have to test it to see if it works!!!!
