Hello, I'm new to the Forum. I have a new Savage X 4.6 on the way. I got out of the RC addiction a few years ago but one trip to the local hobby shop got me back into it. I had a Savage 25 along with a Revo 3.3, Jato 3.3, etc. Remembering back I can think about the issues with my Savage. I remember having a problem with the diffs stripping and using the Ofna cross pins to double up the gears. Is this still an issue or are the diffs stronger from the factory?

I am excited to get back into RCs although my wife isn't to excited about it. ;)

Welcome! Todays diffs come with that mod already done, no real issues running nitro with diffs nowadays. They also come with the Ofna MP steering, and still come with the hlaf tank lean.

Your new truck will be much better than the old!

Mid Tank pretty much. You can try longer feedlines, header tanks, all the old tricks, nothing but a different tank ever fixed it for me

the 2 main ways, as jr said, is to do the mid tank mod, or to add longer fuel lines. I did the mid tank mod for about 20 bux recently( in the end it will be about 30)https://www.hpisavageforum.com/threads/mid-tank-mod-for-0-20.14663/ u can also relocate the tank like this member didhttps://www.hpisavageforum.com/threads/just-a-simple-tank-mod.11993/

and btw, welcome to hpisf and back to the rc addiction! we're glad to have u! there are plenty of guys who can help u out with anything rc, so jump right in and have fun! see u on the boards!
