yes it's an optional part that fits the savage 21 , 25, ss and the X 4.6

yep u can install with no problems and will end up with a bit more speed out of the 21

Look out on Ebay for people splitting XL's cos you can pick up the box (new) cheap and it'll come with the high speed third gear...Really want to see how it performs, but gunna be a while before mine's done! :-(
