new 3pd and new 3spd taller gear

i installed the x 3 speed and the taller gear last week and noticed alot of slop in the gear compared to the stock gear. anyone else notice this? something else i noticed and it was the same on my other 3 speed is the spur gear doesn't turn straight w/ the 3spd, it wobbles real bad and gets eaten over time. is it the shaft or in this case is it due to the slop in the new gear? it doesn't seem like gear slop would cause this, but the gear will probably eventually eat itself. 1 more thing, do you adjust 2nd-3rd outside the tranny and 1st to 2nd inside? is the adjustment screw inside next to the screw where you replace the top gear?

i'll check it out. sounds feasible. i ran 2.5 gallons through it w/ no issues and it only happened once i took it off and transferred it to the 3 spd. thanks.

I have that gear in one of my trucks, haven't seen any wobble but there is a little slop installing the gear but I am not sure if it will cause any problems or if it is any worse thn the orginal gear was.
