Need Insight and Wisedom

Alright! I'm Really excited! I saw a used first edition Genesis. It's the truck I originally wanted when I was in the market for a Nitro. I couldn't afford it then.
It looks like it's taken a hardy bashing or three. Everything looks straight and true. It's got a few interesting hopups.
I would really appreciate some input from all who own or have owned, got to run a friend. Good or bad.
I want two Nitros', so I can bring a friend along. Peace.

i've never owned one but read alot about them as i was going to buy one and from what i read there a pretty strong truck!! they make great bashers!!!!!

Might have a hard time finding someone here who has owned one.
I have heard both good and bad on reviews though.
Good was strong drive train, bad was too heavy and slow even with that big motor. I'll ask around at my site if anyone owns.

The truck seems like it's suspension is really crappy !!!!
I did read the post shiftpoint and noticed the 1 post by CEN !!!
But still it seems like the dude was pissed ...

But it does have me thinking tho .. about what ??? You ask .. How come a tech from HPI doesn't help out like that ? We probably could do a better Job but still it would be nice for someone at HPI to step up and talk w/ us ya know ?

A lot of those guys at the hpi customer service, wel I will put it this way, l they must have a lot of new people answering the phones. I ussually ask the help desk guy if I can speak to someone more knowledgable on whatever part it is I am asking about. I have sopke to some really good people there, usually it is the person the phone guy gets.

It would be nice to have someone from there as members here but I guess they support the HPI's forum (they do have one don't they>), next time I speak with someone good over there I will ask them to check out HPISF. you guys should do the same.

You do realize this link to post is over 3 years old?:duh:
I would hope things with the truck and customer service are better or at least different now from then.

I have googled the Cen trucks in both versions out of curiosity

and they look heavy on they're feet in videos.

My lhs has one on the shelf, it dwarfs the savage.

Cool thanks guys, the aluminum on the first edition is red. The first edition has ten shocks, SJ, I think you'll like this.

don't know about the trucks personally. But I do love their shocks. I know everyone has their own favorites, but so far I have had no issues with the CEN 7.7 shocks on my Sav so far. And I been beating them to death for the last 3 weeks. Plus they are El-Cheapo via Ebay!!!

Did I mention 3 speed forward and reverse. You can shift through all three gears in reverse. Pretty cool. Peace.
