Been trying to buy a set of IRC LST suspension conversion kit for the savy X with X arms, buth they have been sold out for a while. Looking for either a link to another place that sells them, or someone who has a kit they want to sell.

Also looking for a set of adjustable LST shocks to go with it, but not necessary.

only way to get them is to wait for rob to get them back in stock, he gets about 25 units and when they are gone hes usually out for about a month. IMO I would get rid of the lst2 shocks all together if you plan on bashing your truck hard. after many different setups they and other parts keep breaking. with the lst2s you get worse handling and cant really take simple 5-10 ft jumps.

I heard thbat LST shocks are prone to bendingshock shafts, but a friend of mine provided me a set of titanium shock shafts, the same things that he has been using and has never bent a shaft since.

For a time i was running a free set of 4 integy msr8 shocks (which are about the same size as the HPI BB) and the springs were way to soft, and they look to dinky to handle really big air not to mention i don't like the fact that the BB have to be adjusted by clips, seems kinda cheep to me.

what would you recoment for bashing and what weight oil should go with it (i have a coiple bottles of 5wt), i want something that has ride hight adjustability and keep in mind that i am running the RSC kit so no double shocks up front.

throw the 5wt in the trash, put 40wt in your shocks, the titanium shafts are stronger and lighter and you probably won't bend too many shock shafts unless your drop from big air and land at a funny angle. I found out that you tend to break the plastic shaft ends, I just sold my lst2s on ebay and picked up a brand new set of bbs for 50 shipped, also with the lst2s your shock stance is way to vertical promoting much not needed roll when cornering at higher speeds. I broke 6 shaft ends in 1 hr of bashing and bent 1 shock shaft. I found out the lst2 shocks are best suited on an lst2 🙂 not a savage. they need to come closer to the arms and angle more toward the wheels but you cant do it due to the size of the springs, they hit your uppers take a look at the 2 pics

<-- with new eras mount kit (waste of money) see how vertical

<--- with a custom setup, this also doesnt work, puts too much strain on the mounting holes in your arms even though the stance is wider and would work better. you also need 1" extensions to use this setup or the springs hit the wheels when you turn even a little bit

IMO the irc kit looks to be way better but don't expect to get great performance out of these shocks on a savage, they do look cool but its more fun knowing I can launch 20-30 feet down and my shocks are going to hold up....I have a thread on here in the shocks section thats a how to for doing it this way but theres 1 error, you need grade 8 bolts and I have grade A listed. you can bend grade A with your teeth

guys are the shafts titanium or titanium nitride (over steel) big difference.

i just yanked the stock shafts outta my big bores & replaced with shafts from Cen GST's (caz i had them) theyre 3/4" shorter & i think (hope, pray) they will be less prone to bending.

i know peeps have had good luck with hellfire shafts in the big bore tubes.

nope they are the titanium shock shafts from hobby fever. If i do the LST 2 shock's I'm going to try those sway bars from blue grove and see if those counteract the body roll your talking about. Also the IRC kit for the Savy x with x arms puts the mounting location within a few mm of the stock locations. I think ill be the guinnie pig and see how this all works out.

when you get it all set take a pic for me, and launch your truck off something high like a sky scraper and tell me how it holds up. lol

Ill do what i can, I don't think the locals here in Korea will apreciate falling trucks made of awsome, but I'm sure it will find a home on youtube. By the way do those yellow springs help out more than the stock ones?
