Need help with servo problem

I have recently bought my HPI savage second hand. When it arrived I wanted to change the receiver so it would work with my current controller. I did this and the steering servo did not work so i bought a new servo and fitted it. This servo still doesent work. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

did the servo work with the old reciever? if it did then your new reciever is probably at fault

couple questions for ya:

you said you changed the receiver & the steer servo dint work: did the t/b servo work after you changed the receiver?

did both servos work with the old Rx before you changed to the new Rx?

what radio equipment & servos are you using?

Mickey - I was told it did work but i don't know for sure. Is it possible for just one of the receiver channels not to be working?

Frddyj- Not too sure what t/b means. But am presuming you mean the throttle servo in which case yes it did work. I'm not sure if they both worked as i didnt have a working controller to test them. I was told they worked when i bought the savage. The new servo i bought for the steering was a Hitec HS-645mg and the throttle servo is just the standard HPI Servo.
