need help with brakes

i just replaced the brake disk out of my xl with steel brake pads, now the brake cam wont seat all the way in. not sure whats blocking it. I'm a total noob at this. any nelp is appreciated

Anyway you could post a picture of your new set up, I'm not quite understanding whats going on....

sorry, i don't have a camera handy... the brake post that slides into the tranny that has a piece cut out of the end that goes into the tranny doesnt slide all the way in

Did you put the little rod in first?The one that post moves out. The "post" (as you are calling it) goes in first not last. B4 all the brake parts go on it....

i took the setup apart and the brake cam slid right in... thanks for the help all
