Need help Picking Engine

Hi What is the Bets Engine out There Right Now I am Either Looking At The LRP Z.28R Spec3 Or The O.S. 30VG For The Savage And i have A savage 25 SO which One is better and if there are any better ones except nova Rossi to Expensive !!!!

yes pineapple is right thats one question that gets asked here alot and more times then not most pick the lrp!! i went sort of a different route and bought the xtm 457 pro truck engine which is pretty much a twin of the lrp, it looks indentical and has the same specs... all i can say about the xtm is POWERHOUSE!!!!! it truly is a torque monster so the lrp should be the same!!! and both are very reliable and easy to tune,, the xtm goes for $160.00 which is about the same as the lrp

I think that I am about to go with the LRP Z.28R. Both SMF and TowerHobbies have it for the same price. $169.99.

Since neither come with a clutch, is it best to purchase a new one or take the old one off my old .25? What it the lifespan of clutches?

I would suggest buying a new clutch setup. if you are low on cash THIS is a great way to go since it has everything for cheap. Otherwise it would be a good time to move up to some nova shoes. Depending on what you're using clutch shoes can last from a gallon to a couple gallons worth of driving.
