Aloha All,

Over the weekend I crashed my Savage21 into a tree, of course the tree jumped in frot of me LOL. and I broke my front dog bone so now I have a 3 wheel drive truck ha ha. I went to my lhs and they did not have the stock dog bone so he told me to go with the MIP CVD he said better and stronger and should be easy to install. Well for me I have no clue on how to install it. I was able to assemble the axle to the dog bone but don't know how to install it on the truck. Could someone tell me how to install this.
i'm thinking I have to open up my front diff to install the axle part is this right?

here is a link to what I have http://www.stormerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/seekpart.pl?pn=MIP1540

thanks

nope, al that you have to remove to put your new cvds in is the steering knuckles. pull out the old spindle and after you assemble the cvd just slide it in and put the 2 screws back into the steering knuckle. its a pretty quick job 🙂 hope this helps

Ok I have a stupid question, what is the steering knuckle? is the spindle the dog bone shaft? sorry for the stupid questions, I'm still learning what is what on the truck. :istupid:

Thanks Derek and Combuster for your help, with your instructions I was able to install my CVD's. I'm slowly learning as I go.

Much Mahalos,
