Thanks Jester
Yes made it and fitted it in the shed last night
This is my RTR x4.6 over the week end i will be adding the stainless steel breaks. hardened 17tooth clutch bell and a 47 tooth steel spur gear also my mate is going to paint a desert rat (pro line) shell for me
will post photos when completed
i just brought 8 cen gen shocks for $60.00 off eBay in the US. The prices are so cheep on most items in the US that's where i get most of my items from freight to Australia is usually cheep

Looks really nice. I wonder how the wing mounting plate will hold up though. How thick is it?

Sweet truck man!!!

Like the throttle mod and everything else you have done!!!

thanks for all the comments I made the sway bay from this link http://www.rcbasher.com/savsway.html
i am taking it out this weekend for a go .So Sunday night i will be posting either in this thread or the crash thread after i take it out only time will tell
i had a set of Cheyenne Narrow Bead-Loc 40 Series 23mm HD
rims but didnt like them .Will fit the rims to my 40 series big Joe tyres ,to see what they look like .don't want to use the big Joe tyres as i read somewhere on this forum it puts strain on the drive train and can cause breakage

Well the wing held up OK but ran it a new problem. The shock bolt has hit the fuel tank and slightly dented it. So i had to make a guard so it wont punch a hole in the tank next time i also got out my mini vinyl cutter and went to town (i know the stickers are not straight )
do you guys think the guard will work or is there another solution

another thing you can to to protect your tank is put a pan head screw in for the shocks, going the other way you have them routed now, with the bolt head by the tank, and the nut on the rear of the tower.

Sweet looking truck Koss. I noticed you were talking about putting stainless steel brakes on it. Don't do it, I'm sure you won't like them. Stick with the red fiber ones. If you just want to buy some sway bars, blue groove makes a good kit.

Hi
got the shocks mounted today and the shell as well. I am going to cut a hole in the windscreen on the shell for cooling. Do i need to cut a hole above the engine as well ,every thing fits ok
will test drive tomorrow ,will post video if any of you guys are interested.

Personaly, I like to have a hole above the engine. Not only for cooling the engine but it makes it possible to start the truck with the body on and you can temp the engine with the body on. After you have to take the body off 50 times to start it you will see what I mean.

thanks for the info. i see what your saying and will cut the hole out before the weekends run
my mate droped in another shell he painted up for me
what do you guys think
