She has been sitting for a few years, when I put her away I made sure it was clean both inside and out and made sure after run oil was used. Today I got it out to check and recharge batteries which I have been doing over the storage period. But when I went to pull the engine over it was solid, so didnt want to force anything I took the glow plug out and squirted releasing oil down there and into the carb and left it a while and tried again but no luck so took the engine out. Managed to free it but looking inside the main bearings were rust and everything needed a very good clean, lucky it was only surface rust and and hour in sonic cleaner had it looking good again, then a good flush with water and another sonic blast then dried off with air line, reoiled with assembly lube just to protect it until i get it back together.
Now I have a question, how long does a gallon of 20% or 25% fuel last, because I seem to have far more than I thought i had and all over 5 years old but stored in the dry & dark in original containers, they have been opened but are air tight.
Thanks for any comments
