My new wheel/tire setup

Got some new Zombie-Max tires and 17mm 1/2in. offset Maximizer beadlocks. Haven't mounted them yet. Going to get some Panther F105 molded foam inserts for them. I am stoked to try the new setup on my Savage.

Anyone else run the same setup? How was it for you?

I run the Zombie-Maxx tires with black 1/2" offset maximizer beadlocks but am using the stock foam with a ring of ducktape around them. I love them they get great traction on all surfaces. Good luck.

I have ordered the Zombies, and just got the Maximizer 1/2" offset wheels from Bruce today. I will let you know how I like them when I get my tires in.

I was wondering if the the tire tread needs to be going in a particular direction, like directional tires on 1:1?

I am very curious to find out what the Panther molded green foams are going to be like. Anyone use them yet?

If I don't like the molded foams I will do the duck tape around stock foam trick.

Got the Panther green molded foams and determined that I had to slice off about a 1/4 inch of foam from each side in order to fit the Zombies.

I tried to use them without trimming and the tire was so streched that in order to get the rim on I would have had to compress the foam down quite a bit. I figured the foam would do a better job if it was not compressed as much.

Have two wheels/tires/foams assembled and they are very stiff compared to the stockers. Sidewall flex is almost non-existent.
