Hey, i finally finished making my roll cage for my Savage X and i think it turned out pretty good. It cost me nothing to make! My family friend had some of this nylon tube and all the other stuff i needed i already had at home. I didn’t have to use a heat gun and i didn’t have to weld the brackets.

It’s too hard to explain how i attached it to the tvp so i just took a picture as an example:

The side that you can see the screw head is the side that would go onto the tvp. I used those things (the green thing) that when you screw a screw into them they spread out.

(I used one of these tools to make the angled hole where the screw head fits into so it doesn’t stick out)

Here are the pics of the cage:

I had to use zip ties to hold the cage back so it will stay over the engine ^

I have not tested it yet, once i do i will let you know how it holds up.

If you have any questions just ask.

I REALLLY like this cage man looks great. intereseted in hearing how it preforms.... looks like you wont ever have to flipp you truck back on its lid when its in a rollover lol

awsome looking rollcage!! great job!! i am also looking forward to hearing how it holds up so keep us posted!!!

Thanks guys, i just got back from my local park which has a few good jumps. The cage is still like new, i didnt land upside down off a jump but i rolled many times and you wont believe how much times i landed back on my feet after rolling!!

I did a little mod to my roll cage. I attached the roll cage to the roll bar, instead of having a bar of nylon above the radio box.

The advantages of this mod are:
Looks better
Better access to the radio box and fuel tank
Higher clearance above engine + doesnt bent as much on impact = Better protection

what is the plastic? Funny pipe or sold round bar stock ?

I don't use a cage in my trucks but looks cool!
