MY ABmod STS 30 doesnt work

i just got my sts30 abmoded engine today excited obviously. i installed the engine and everything but when i came to start it, its ringing so much and theres so much blow smoke coming out of the exhaust.

it is impossible to tune the engine.

IS THIS NORMAL OR IS THIS THE MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.

I'm using 30%

Try contacting the person who did the mod. He should be able to help you out. If not, try maybe givin Rick Brake an email askin for help.

Check for air leaks, make sure the gasket on the motor that seals the header is the correct size.


Nothing else I can think of.....

First off as I recall you said this was "broken in" by the modder. If that is indead true I would contact him and find out what was done. STS engines are known for having long break-in, 1-2 gallons. What are the temps at when running?

.. I think you made the wrong choice.. rb mods would be MY choice on a modded engine. I really don't think they broke in the engine for you . They might have started it up but that's about it ... It would take about 50 dollars in fuel to break that in along w/ about 12 hrs of heat cycles.. Make sure you put the piston at bottom dead center when shut it down..

Set ALL needles back to factor settings (flush) and then do your own break in
just to be safe..

Can you get a video on how the engine sounds ?. they probably leaned it out when trying to start it

alright thanks i appreciate the help....I'm sooo angry!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABmods is very well known though everyone who has had their engine modded by ABmods said it was amazing.....
