I just put on a set of msr5 shocks and i was wondering what the threads on the shock bodys are for. Could someone help me new to the nitro world.
Are you talking about the spring set? If so, it's not a dea to get them, that way you have different spring rates to better suit your needs. And, if you bend the shafts on the msr5's, the integy springs fit perfect on the stock savvy shocks. So would you buy the 40 piece set that integy offers.
Are you running all 8? If so you should be good with it close or all the way to the top. If you are running 4 then maybe 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch down. This is what I ran my MSR8s at and they are of similiar size. But in the end you just have try everything and see what works for you.
Integy offers a 40 pcs. kit on there website that come with diffrent spring rates.Do you mean the rebuild kit? Its never a bad idea to have extras sitting around.
Thanks! Can you tell me how to put all the stuuf you have on your truck after your question?welcome to the forum!! you just found the best place to get all the answers to your questions!!
About 25 miles north of Columbus.whereabouts in ohio are you from?
Actually, the msr8's are larger then the msr5's. The msr4's and the msr5's are similar in size except for the shaft. If i remember correctly, the msr4's use a 2.5mm or 3mm shaft. The msr5's use a 3mm or 3.5mm shaft. I can't exactly remember the size. But, the msr8's are definately better then the msr4 and msr5's.
