helloevery one, I'm new to the site, also to my savage, i have some noob ?s
ive been having problemswith the spurs, they don't last but 5mins, you 5 bucks 5mins,lol.... checked mesh and its good. tranny,and motor are nice and tight.i don't know whats the deal.only thing i could think of is maybe its the gearing on the stock tranny.oh my bad i have a savy 25/ with HO nitrostar 4.6 bb 2 speed stock tranny.............need help savy is justlooking at me like saying you broke me now fix me ......any ideas

accesive heat from a slipping clutch could be causing your problem if the mesh is set correctly. another issue if you jump alot could be motormount screws backing out and allowing the motor to move ever so slightly loosing your good mesh. make sure to locktight everytime you reinstall the motor. also check the motor plate for small cracks as this will disturb the mesh of the gears. hope this helps
 
ya i was going to suggest checking the motor plate to see if its bent, which will mess with the mesh and chew spurs!!
 
use a piece of paper to set the mesh its a good easy way to do it..

also check the input shaft on the transmission... if its bent it can mess up your gear mesh...
