what is the part number everyone is using for the spring and bearings?

For the OFNA pirate steering in the savage? I don't think anyone has used that in 15 years. HPI updated the savage many versions ago with a built in servo saver. I, like many others, used the OFNA one in the old savage .21 (1st/2nd gen). Can't recall which version HPI started putting in the proper servo saver.

I got one of these to replace the one in my flux. I broke the ackerman bar, or ripped the screws out.

oh ok I thought guys were buying the ofna one to use the spring and bearings because its cheaper that way.

Nah, 20 years ago it was a necessity because the savage had solid cams with a servo saver mounted on the servo.

so just put bearings in the stock bell crank and call it a day?

yep bearings are a must for smooth steering

Ya I put the hd spring and used traxxas 5105 bearings and it is smooth as silk.
