Hey All,
Anyone using one of these? My bro bought it for me for xmas ... i've only run the truck with it installed once and I ended up taking it off as it kept cutting in and stopping the truck. That time I put it down to my hump pack losing power as I hadn't charged it properly or something.
However, I've just finished putting the truck back together after this weekends crazy upgrading session and its doing the same thing. This time I know the batteries are ok. I've fully charged the hump pack and the transmitter has fully charged 2700ma AA Fujicell's installed ... all good on the power front.
Running the electrics without this installed all is working great. The new 645MG servo is doing the business (great upgrade) and the throttle/break is all good. Install the Fail Safe and everything gets really jittery and sometimes the Fail Safe activates ... so I've taken it off again.
I've gone through the programming of the Fail Safe as per the instructions and its doing it thing correctly if I turn the transmitter off, but having it do it for no reason and make the rest of the truck jittery is just plain crap.
Anyone have any ideas? Should I ditch the Mirage altogether and get a better setup? To be honest, the ultimate is to get a whole new radio set running at 2.4Ghz but I simply can't afford that right now.
What's thought of as being the most reliable stand alone Fail Safe?
Right, its 3:15am here and i've been tinkering with the truck since 11am yesterday morning so its sleepy time for me. Catch you all tomorrow.
