Alright, so after the New Years party me and a buddy decided to pull out the Savages about 2 or 3 in the morning. We both learned a hard lesson, "don't drink and drive", LOL.

First problem I noticed was my brake cam was sticking way out and I could not get it to go back in, it was dark and I was barely standing so I pulled it out and just bashed with no brakes. The next morning, after some much needed sleep and several cups of joe I threw her on the table and begun to inspect the damage. I saw what looked to be melted plastic inside the hole where the brake cam and piston go, then noticed the whole area above the brake pad was just melted away and was seeing the inside of the tranny and some obvious damage there. I don't know how or what happened, but do know it is a good time to upgrade to the 3 speed, LOL.

So if anybody has any ideas what I did to it, let's hear it.

I'll bet money it was the same screw that took out Jcam. Probably one of the 2 little coutersunk screws in the bottom came out. Whatever tranny you get next, loctite all of it ecxept the adjustment screws.

Chiz you gotta show a pic of that, we love carnage! Welcome to the forum btw :drunk: bad driver

Alright, let's see if this works. You can see where it melted a ring out of the casing. I pulled the ring of melted plastic off. It appears that little back plate that fits around the clutch holder or whatever it's called came loose and backed out and started rubbing the casing or something.

I know what happened...the end of the brake cam...silver cylinder that goes into trans...snapped off and gernaded the trans and sent pieces everywhere.

here is my damage pics

Yes sir! So did you upgrade to a 3 speed tranny, or was it already 3 speed?

Is there a more rigid brake cam out there, or is the stock one all we can use?

Also, how do you like those dual disk brakes?
