This may be a stupid question? Does the black rings (NOT THE SHIMS) go on the inside of the tire to pinch the inner bead? Then the tubes pinch the outter bead?

This is my first set of beadlocks.... so i'm lost!!
I got a set of maximizer #1730 & a set of t-maxx tires. 3.2 size.
They are suppose to be the new and improved style of wheel.

I got tired of glueing & reglueing my tires all the time.

Yes. First with the foams in the tires put the two black rings in the tire on the inside of the beads. The black rings should be pretty close to touching each other in the center of the foam. Then you slide the tube through the back of the tire and put the face on. The tube and face clamp the outside of the bead. I had trouble with mine too, they were a bit of a pain. You have to press the face down in the center with the holes lined up just right to get all the screws in. If the maximizers in the pic you posted are the ones you got, i got the same exact ones. It is gonna seem like a tight fit, but it will work. What tires are you gonna run on them?

SWEET, Thanks guys. That video says it all. The instruction sheet they come with is useless IMO.

I'm putting on T-MAXX tires, I like the look of the tractor / dozer tread style, and i got them for $27.00 shipped for all 4 wheels, tires, & foams (NEW)...gotta love ebay.

THANKS AGAIN

:lmao: I forgot to mention how easy they make it look in the video. These are new tires and are kinda stiff.

weasel, post back after you run a few tanks & let us know how the tires worked out for ya... i like the look of those tires too, but i'll always choose performance over looks ... did you get off-set maximizers?

I run the offset max rims beadlocks myself and i love them...just make sure you don't over tighten the bolts or they will strip out fairly easy...but if they do a little tire glue on the threads and they should seat themselves again.

It will be some time before i get to run them. We are supposed to be getting more snow for this week & a high temp in the mid 20's before wind chill factored in by the end of the week. I had a T-MAXX before I sold it to buy my savage, and it had the original tires on it and they would hook up pretty good. They do tend to throw more dirt and gravel then i like, this is why I decided to shed the aluminum parts and put the plastic back on. And yes they are the 1/2 inch offset wheels.

Hi, newbie question. I just bought myself a new set of maximizer 1/2 offset beadlocks after reading good reviews on the forum. I know from the maximizer website they are for 3.2 inside diameter tyres.

I need some advice on choosing some tyres for these. Do I have to choose some that are exactly 3.2 inside diameter or is there some tolerance. How about the width of the tyre? I looked at the Baland MT but they are 3.11 inside diameter and quite narrow. How do i pick a tyre for these and be sure that they will for correctly?
