Hey guys, as most of you know I'm having some diffacultys with my Axial .28RR. I am currently thinking about sending this back getting a new mill and selling it. If this happens I will be getting the LRP.

My questions are, how many of you have sealed this engine?

If you have what did you all seal and what types of sealants did you use?

Also, have any of you had issues with this motor?

If you have anyother information about this thing please post it here, lets make this thread all about information about the LRP.

I own an axial 28 rr spec 1

I only sealed back plate

no issue's with mine at all, this mill is sick with power

I used just black automotive rtv and let it sit for a day. Today is the first time I've taken my engine apart since I bought it in march. The owb is starting to slip and the hex shaft is showing some wear. Lrp replaces both parts all together for 25$.

I have had numorous problems with my Axial. I have about 3/4 of a gallon threw it and the oneway is slipping, I have been threw about 5-6 pullstarts because of spring breaking and the hole temp issue probably because of front bearing https://www.hpisavageforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3746

Yeah I was thinking the 28rr but I posted before that the lrp is only $10 more. I think I might get the LRP as well. I don't like the sound of your broken pull starts larsenracing.

I did use the 4.6 on one it as it bolts up and it lasted a lot longer. But they still should have lasted more than 3/4 of a gallon.

Hey larsen, can't really tell you a whole lot about the LRP yet except it has tons of power. Now as far goes the sealing of the engine, I have two LRP engines and have not sealed either one. They only have about 6 to 7 tanks on them but seem to be sealed pretty tight. They usually fire on the first crank and don't ever flame out. I will tell you that the engine holds its tune very well.
