I bought The LRP .28 last weekend for my LST2. I installed it with the JP3

pipe. They say only 4 tanks for breakin but I will tell you this. It has to be

the hardest engine to break in for the first 2 tanks. The fuel will literally run

out of the exhaust. It would not even fire up without the plug loosened. On

the third tank everything started seating nicely. I burped it for 1/2 throttle

runs. By the 4th tank it was coming to life nicely with 3/4 throttle pulls.

When I filled up the the 5th tank ,I started tuning it in, man this thing was

amazingly fast. Definetly one of the most powerful motors I have had.

Liked it so much, I bought another for my savage this morning before the

race at debbies. Probably not the brightest thing to do. I had to change the

motor, rotostart and had to break it in. Talk about freaking out. So the crew

of the dirty diggers(me,Trixter,STSwarhead,TTand Dragin) went to its tail.

Everyone pitched in like a team should. The breakin was the worst part but I

already new what to expect. I will tell you this much. I thought the motor

was insane. Put a BUKU behind this motor and you will see insane. The

savage is running 17/47 gearing and the suspension is dialed in to stay down

in the front. Well it did until the LRP/BUKU combo. It was so stupid that I

could not keep the front end down at all. I'm not just talking about off the line

or at a slow speed. I tried to burp the throttle to get up to speed and then

nail it, still would come up in second gear and be on its lid. stupidest stuff I

ever seen. I will say awesome motor and pipe combo. I guess I am back to

the drawing board on getting the power to the ground again. Wish me luck,

LOL.

SJ, awesome mill at a good price. I think think that is what we are all looking for right?

I was out drag racing it when they were doing the long jump contest. and people were coming from everywhere wanting to know what I had in it.

lrp28

Lifter is telling the honest truth about the LRP28/bookoo combo. That has got to be just stupid /sick I still say it is just as good if not faster than the five hundred dollar plus motor he used to run (no names) Then just add a Bookoo pipe and your in for an adventure lol.

I agree with you blazer on the silly fast. Still going to take time to see the

reliable part though. Hope so because I really like the motors. How much fuel

do you have through yours?

I got it back in march, so I guess probably close to 3 gallons. I'm just now replacing the hex start shaft and I have only put 3 glow plugs in it. No bearing problems and it has never hit 300*.:jamout:

cool blazer, I have only had my temp like 195-200. still making sure everything is seated propely. can't wait to completely tune them in in. I think they will be great motors.

Yep I am considering one of these (hopefully Christmas). Sounds good with the buku pipe though. Which buku do you run and does it come with a header that works with the savage or do you need to get one separately.

i've seen vids of that engine and they rip!!!! they seem to have insane amounts of power!!!

It is the big block BUKU. I have it set up with the internal ring removed the

big convergent cone installed with the heaviest spring. As far as the header

is concerned you can use the stock one or aftermarket. hope this helps.

Got Picts of this Buku pipe set up. Also is it worth the $100 over other good pipes like the Tsais M25 or JP's or THS pipe's. Can you also get some vid of this thing running.

bookoo

Yes by far you cant buy a better pipe for $200. In my opinion the BooKoo pipe is the best pipe on the market :blastaway:

Yes, I will have vids coming probably this week. Want to make sure the

motors are broke in well first. The BUKU hands down is the strongest power

producing muffler out right now I think, and can be tuned for where you want

most of your powerband to be at, I can actually adjust a wheely out of my

truck with it.

Yeah, the pipe is just over 100.00 larsen and yes, thats basicly whats happening with the wheely. I liked the way it sounded though.

I guess just over 100 isnt to bad as the ones i listed are between $60-80. Is the only place to get them on there web site? I cant wait to see some vids and photos of this thing if its actually that great I may have to try one.

Hows durability, I'm still running the stock pipe with an O.S.30VG. This engine has about twice the power of the 4.1. I'm having a hard time deciding what kind of pipe. I really like the cleanliness of a rear exhaust, but if this pipe does what you said, I may be swayed. Vids, please. Peace.

The durability is great. I put my savage through a hard life. I do a lot of hard

driving. It is allways being jumped. I have been through 2 long jump contests

with it, with on of them being the halloween bash. As far as power on the

OS 30, you might want to talk to megabyteme. He has the BUKU on it. He

had it at the bash and was running it around for us and it is a freak. He is

very happy with the BUKU's power gain.

Cool thumper, sounds like you are getting ready to set that OS30 on fire. Think you will be a very happy guy.

OK guys just finished with the video I said I would make. Will post this evening.
