howdy, i've been reading warning of "castle creations" warning people not to set their throttle EPA below 100%. basically, the consensus is that if you limit your power using your radio's EPA, the ESC will fry. what's the deal with that? if i set my throttle EPA to 25%, wouldn't that just equate to me pulling the trigger 25% when EPA is set at 100%? am i to believe that running the Flux motor/ESC is not ideal between 0% and 100%? what if i set my radio to 160%, is that not good either? just seems a little wonky to me. ahy help in understanding the logic behind these warnings would be much appreciated, as i'd like to be able to limit power for certain occasions where i don't have a computer/castle link readily available.

i read the first link you referenced & although i agree with adjusting your gearing to tune your speed, idk why running your truck at 3/4 rpm vs full rpm would caz things to run hotter with all other factors the same (tires, running environment, gearing, etc).

all-in-all, i say just pull the trigger 3/4 if your lookin for 3/4 and don't limit your top-speed.

kinda cancels out the reason you got the b/l in the 1st place 😛eace:

yeah, i was more intrigued how/why i'd be shortening the life of my ESC/motor if i pull 3/4 or limit it by adjusting the end points.

here's a scenario: family/friend/etc. wants to try your brushless truck. it'd be a lot more convenient to limit their damage potential via the radio than saying, "sure, give me X minutes to change the gearing."
