K&N Air filter?????

Well here is one for everyone. I was about to buy a K&N air filter for my savage x. When looking at reviews about the filter it was 50/50. Some guys swear by it others think it should stay on cars and bikes only. I love the way it looks on the savy and use it on my Hemi and buick. If anything I'm going to buy it for show when I'm no bashing. What do you guys say good or bad?? Cheers!!:cheers:

It worked good for me but nearly imposible to clean.I got tired of it.Thats just my mouth full

I wouldnt but it for bashing or anything on dirt as they wont stop as much as a filter with a prefilter unless you can get a prefilter over it. It only takes a spec of dirt to wreck an engine for good. Id stay with the stocker or go with a motor saver with a prefilter over it just for the safety. Just my .02

There junk.. Don't use a K&n filter on a r/c .. Good for Real trucks not the savage.. Stick w/ the stock air-filter .. I use the motor saver, I wont trust anything else

It's a brand of air filter which is the best one available at this point.

I wouldn't use one if I were you I had one on my savage like trixter said they are hard to clean and after about 5-10 minutes they clog up and bog your motor down.

I agree with most here-save those for full scale vehicles.But if you want to use I would suggest wrapping it with a "Outerwear' filter.Stock X filter with one of those is best IMO.Dave
