Is my reciever toast?

Past few times i have been out my truck has been acting up. Ill start it up and the throttle will start glitching really bad then the failsafe kicks in. I checked all my wires and they all seem good. I thought maybe its just low batteries in the truck so i bought a hump pak thinking maybe that will solve the problem.(aa's arent the best to use in rc) Still acting up. I know its not my motor cuz wen i pick it up and give it gas, i can see the throttle servo goin back and forth and then lock up. But its weird cuz wen i bring it inside the house and turn on the transmoitter and reciever, it seems to work fine. Seems like when its actually running, it gets all crazy glitchy!! I have no idea what to do anymore. like i said i checked all my wires and made sure my batteries are full. Both servos arent broken or anything, no noises from them, has to be my radio....i think

I'm using all stock servos and rados that come with the savage x 4.6 rtrm I

What fail safe are you useing? Try disconnecting it and see how it runs. I had a venom smart temp that was nothing but trouble, always going into failsafe.

your crystal maybe coroded or just bad. have you checked the antena on the receiver board maybe it has a loose connection.

checked the antena and its good. Crystals have been removed and put back in. Cant be too much wrong with it cuz i bought it brand new at christmas. Thinking of getting the spektrum dx2.0, what do u think??

+1 if you want to save money try switching crystals to a different freq. first. if money is no prob definitely go to a fm system
