Is LRP 28 same as Tai Wan SH28?

I know this isn't a savage question but since people here has some experience with the lrp I ask anyway 🙂

I got my hands on a new hsp bazooka pro and it says the tai wan sh28 fits and I think its lrp that makes that motor, does that mean the lrp will fit to maybe?

Yes, the SH P8 .28 is the LRP Z.28R Spec 3. Only difference is the cooling head. Generally speaking if you can fit one .28 you should be able to fit any .28.

And just so you are aware, SH makes the LRP and most Losi engines also... I was running an SH.28 until last year and I can say for positive it is a Sweet running engine. I wore it out in my XTM MMT....

Thanks, I just tried to see if my old savage 25 engine would fit but the gear was a bit to short and to tall as you see in pic. Do I need some special gear and mount perhaps?

If you can't get your S-25 to fit then you won't get a .28 to fit. Looking at that picture, something seems wrong. Can you take a few more pictures? One zoomed out a bit and one showing the motor mount area.

I pushed it a bit further but now the screw holes don't fit also the flywheel crash there.

Was there a stock motor mount that came with it? Was there an engine already installed? Something here doesn't appear to be adding up. I think you must be using an incorrect motor mount.

No motor came with it. But I think I figure it out.
