Hey guys, I got a gread deal on a tuned polished pipe and am looking for any special instructions on installing it. Ive been searching but cant find my answer. Anyone care to give me some info or point me to a thread please??

It looks easy, but I don't know if there is anything special I need to do. Thanks guys! I'm having a blast thanks to everyone here!

Well I have it on my truck, its secure to the engine, but I don't know how to secure the other end! Anyone have suggestions or pics please??

looks like my TVP's are different

Thanks bro, sweet pic, but I think my TVP's are different than those. This is what it looks like. I have a screw for the very end, but no spring thing. Think I can just temporarily rig something up somehow??

To tell you the truth I got the same problem. (minus needing a block!) I was thinking of trying a coat hanger or fabbing something out of aluminum. I got my brand new HPI polished pipe for $20 minus some parts. Came to a halt when I figured out the block I had wasn't going to work. Could try some wire of some kind for the mean time, wrap it through the pipe and the stock hanger. Not sure how good that would be though.

well yes we have the same problem bud! Thanks for your idea, I will give it a shot until we figure something else out! I will also give you rep after I "spread some more around", lol, thats what it told me, lol

or you could just drill a new hole through the end piece 90 deg from the other hole (the one the slides into not the threaded one)and just use a long screw to secure it to the original pipe hanger..... thats what i did on my brother-in-law's savage !!!!!!!!!!!!!

temp fix

ok here is my temp fix. I used some strong wire, the clothes hanger was too hard to bend and move around. I took the best pics I could. Took if for a test run and it held up good. I like the sound of big worm's idea for a permanent fix, but I don't fully understand. Do you mean drill from the front of the front directly over the front tire towards the back and through the stock pipe hanger, and then screw it from the front directly throught the new hole and into the threaded hole at the front of the pipe??

like this??

check pic. Drill a hole where the upper left corner of the text box in the pic is??

Getting all fancy on me huh! Hold on a sec and I'll get a pic.

Edit: I see your fancy text box and raise you a Sharpie squiggle!

Kinda blurry but the only way I could get it to be visible.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, ok, gotcha. There is already a hole drilled there for me. Thanks bro, I will attatch it tomorrow and post the pics!

i wish i had a pic to show ya...bud so here is another way to explain it look at your original plastic pipe and see how the way the hole is drilled in it for the screw to go through and into the mount? well drill a hole in the stub on the end of the new pipe in that same direction then find a longer screw and screw it to the mount in the same manner as the original was

now that big worm was perfect. Gotcha now. I'm gonna get to drilling then go test it out. Did you get yours hooked up parker?? Good looking out guys, thanks!
