alright, well its just the pinion, but its the first real carnage ive had on the savvy in a very long time. the worst i did before that was break a couple a-arms a c-hub, and a couple dogbones.

Looks like a diff needs shimmed .. also your bearings probably need replaced(by the looks of the rust on the case).. And your 43 tooth probably could be replaced also ... Replace everything at once ..

Jester is right, replace all of it, now that it's broke and you've had to go into it. New X bulk heads, metal diff cup, new ring and pinion, bushings, and make sure you shim too.
Congrats on tearing it up good btw!

alright, well i have the x. I'm upgrading to the cen diffs soon, but i will be using these for my roller I'm building. the bearings will be replaced, and ill shim it, if you guys could link me to how to do it. thanks for the help guys! it is runnin right now, i put the front pinion and diff in the rear and threw the rear diff up front for now.

thanks alot allan, the diff shimmin guide will no doubt help with the shimming, although it seems to be almost the same as a 1:1 scale rear end.

as far as the cen diffs go, Blazer is currently putting the finishing touches on a set for me, and i will be installing them next week.

How much fuel do you have through it? About every 5 gallons my rear bulkhead gets so it will let the bearings move a little instead of being snug. So even shimmed and with new bearings and gears would still get all tore up within 2 tanks. So just check that the bearings still fit snugly in the housing. They are only like $5 on ebay.
