I Bought The New Hpi 4 Spider Gear With Shimes Diffs. My Question Is There Any Diff Oil In Them When You Get Them Or Are They Dry? If Someone Knows. I Bought Them From Ebay And I Emailed The Guy I Bought Them From And He Said There Is A Little Grease But No Oil???

You can buy RC specific diff oil but that isn't necessary. Pack it with any generic grease. Fill it about 1/4 of an inch from the top. Diff oil comes in small bottles and in different weights. The weight of an oil just means the thickness a.k.a. viscosity. It is for fine tuning your diffs. I use 30,000 in my rear and 50,000 in the front. Grease works great as well though.

i use high temp wheel grease in my diffs. clean them out every winter and put new in. knock on wood i have not had to fix any diff problems all summer.lol
