Ya it has been off since the last race.....I need to get another one but for now I molded a cap with silicone until I get to the LHS again

cool just don't get dust and dirt in it because i am sure you will konw what will happen!!

After reviewing the truck today before I ran and I was putting the spur gear on.........only came with 5 screws instead of 6.........🙁

so you didnt get to drive it after all. i ran mine with 3 screws once and it ran fine but it is probably safer to run it with all its screws. let me know how its working when you get her running!
good luck

Well I dug around in my nuts and bolt bin and found a screw that has the same thread size and I put that in their and it only sticks up maybe the thickness of a piece of paper so now it has all the screws....didn't get run any but I put a drop of locktite on all the screws since we have a race tomorrow and its the first race of the series.........

Well they canceled the race because of the hurricane that is coming in and it was poring and it was basically a small pond, lol. Anyways I ran the truck today at the school and I tried to go up a hill it bottomed out at the top and I nailed the throttle and it messed up the CB, spur gear is fine, just need a HD CB now.

All that is left to do now is get 2 more holes drilled for the bottom drill the holes in the wing and I have to go to Lowes and get 2 more wing nuts and 2 more bolts. I also have to cut the bolts because those are too long and the bottom ones will hit the roto start and the top ones hit the motor so I have to trim them way back.

Got it all done today.........went to put the body on and I cant run a body post without hitting my bolts.......BUT I TRIMMED THE POST AND I CAN NOW RUN ONE!!!! Will post pics up later.

COMPLETE!!!

Got at the track went to start up and the plate was in the way so I couldn't run with the spoiler. And after today I am HIGHLY thinking of selling the savage and getting a truggy or buggy. Lol the savage was a BIT PITA today. Will post up reasons later.

There are spoilers for the savage out there. I say don't give up just because you hit bumps....Buggies and others will give you the same over time. A local guy has been dominating with his savage against other trucks because of the setup he has and his vehicle control. Out of curiosity, why did you go with those wheels? Aren't the Proline Velocity wheels the lightest out there?

The reason it was a PITA is because the first race the tranny went into neutral with radio interference so we got that fixed then the 2nd race the glo plug went out and the tranny wasn;t working so I tore it down, and I have the 25 case so I had to take 1 TVP off and we thought we got it fixed and then that didn;t fix it. also the racing for monster trucks is dieing here and I think I am ready for something else and I have just spent too much time and money and I am getting no results out of it. As for the wheels a guy on revo-world had the rims and tires for $80

good luck with either venture......Ask Brian about raceday mishaps. Someone turned their radio on who was on the same channel as Brian and blew his Raptor motor.

you can buy fuel filters for about 5 bucks a piece. I run two of them. One to the exhaust and one to the motor.

That send the fuel to the carb.......it causes pressure and it pulls it from the tanks and then into the carb. I think.......don't quote me.

What it does is it sends pressure to the tank from the pipe and then it pressurizes the tank. Then the pressure in the tank pushes the fuel into the carb. So basically, if the pressure line isn't attached, no fuel will reach the carb. Well, at least that is what was explained to me, could be wrong though.

Actually, The carb will draw fuel on it own.
In fact, by removing the the pressure line and capping off the pipe fitting, along with filtering the tank's pressure inlet, this a racing setup.

This, according to Adam Drake.
By doing this arrangement with the air fittings, The effect is discribed as getting your nitro to feel more like an electric, providing a smoother power delivery to the drive train. This is said to provide better traction, as it buffers the torque with some smoothness.

You will need to retune the mill for this difference in pressure lose.
