Hi guys,

Will it be ok to replace my broken Star .25 engine with the Star F4.1? According to most hobby shops it's a yes!

Any ideas here?

Cheers

Not to bash your engine choice, but is there a reason you are going with the F4.1? There are several other engines that are far superior for around that price point.

Ya X is right, there are many many :nitromill: that will fit the chassis.... pretty much any big block will go right into it.....

Hey guys,

I don't want to overpower the truck and end up having to replace the box and diff etc. Also I live in South Africa and any engines I buy have to come from abroad. Locally the prices are way over budget and are a rip off!

Thanks for the heads up though guys.

Cheers

Well I know that deal, gettin abroad to let ya have anything it aint easy....:lmao: whatever ya get just make sure to have fun....

Jam is right, just make sure you are happy with what you buy. I just wanted to make sure you weren't overlooking better options, but out of country/continent shipping is awful.

When you get your new engine post up a thread about your install and your thoughts on it. We'll be happy to help you out with any issues you have.

BTW, in case you didn't know this already, the F4.1 is a .25 engine. Just a more modern one than your old nitro star.

Thanks for the help and advice guys! Yes I was aware the F4.1 is the .25 upgrade, one of the reasons I wanted to go for it. Have ordered the motor now the waiting game begins!

Will give you some feedback as soon as the truck is up and running again.

Cheers
