Well i snapped my truck in two...Since its so difficult to find flm anywhere i went on down to a lhs and much to my suprise i found the hpi lcg kit for the savage. My question... is the xl conversion any different then the lcg kit. The store wants $115 for the kit and the xl conversion is only $90 from hpi. I tried to bargain with the store but they wont budge. just another reason our hobby is supported by the internet. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You can get a pair of non hpi lcg's for less than that on the internet. You'll have to wait but it's worth the money to wait. Have you tried looking on maybe PRC's site?http://www.platinumrcproducts.com/products.html Their about $130 but worth it for CF TPVs.

Just a few sites to help you out.

I just paid $165 for the FLM stuff including the motor plate, servo mounts, skid plate, FLM's, servo tray.

I would just order what you want online and screw your LHS.

thanks for everybodys input. i really am stuck on the flm ext lcg but don't want to wait for them forever. i like prc stuff too but I'm a little leary about cf holding up to abuse. my last tvps were xtreme racings cf tvp; they lasted a while but when they broke they broke good.

dude don't buy another set of hpi tvps. theyre overpriced and if you busted a set the first time, you'll bust em again the second time.

Call (don't email) call fastlane machine. get the # off their website. you will probably talk to Gina on the phone, she does all the customer service.

she will take paypal over the phone and ship direct.

i probably will just call fastlane n see how long it would take for shipping. i was also thinking about getting some stock tvps and giving them to my buddy at the machine shop. he could make a thicker set of tvps.
