what i had to do to get them to mount exactly how i wanted.
*note* I'm using flm towers.... this is also just a mock up i will update when i reassemble the truck when my new diffs and bulks show up next week...

first:
drill a hole about 1.5inches from the stock mount location on the lower arms

next i took the smaller springs that are on the savage big bores and put it on the hellfires along with the stock hellfire spring. it made it slightly stiffer and gave it better response.

next i installed the hellfire standoffs onto the shock caps along with a screw (*note* this is a mock up screw in actuallity its going to be longer to fit thru the
towers)

for the bottom mount i used a threaded screw with a washer along with a nut
the nut acts like a small spacer to allow the bottom of the shock mount ball to rotate like it should.

all this will be re shot when i put the truck together, until then this is just to give an idea of what it takes.

BA not to take from what you did but why didn't you use the stock pockets and the adjustable towers?

i already had the holes in the a arms and tested them out there. i like how much more vertical they were then when they were in stock location. also with the flms you cant get the shocks as vertical as i have them now.

no I'm saying that you will have to drill, i already did it along time ago for my lst mounts. so i tested it out with the holes i had already drilled awhile ago and like it there better then stock location.

the pics show you using the sway bar hole in the X arms. that hole is in all of them. o no that hole is in the back right

yea the hole your thinking of is in the rear of the arms. you can use that hole aswel but then the steering linkage will be in the way. its very simple to drill a 1/8th hole in plastic lol.

Are those the big bore hellfire shocks?

hellfire shocks are short big bores the savage big bores use all their parts. springs caps etc. I have run them for about a year. Then converted my BB's to hellfire shafts. Its a good set up! Handles well if your oils and spring rates are right. I have mine in the stock location and moved down N out on the shock tower.
