Hpi big bore shock caps busted once again

So I ran my savage yesterday with the aluminum big bore shocks. and I'm not happy, one medium sized jump and the rear shock caps busted right off. both, in the same spot.

Temporary solution

So I posted this up in the URC forums and they recommended I use Hellfire Shock caps with their bleaders. I was able to dig up this thread from these forums.

However I don't know where to get the hellfire shock caps from as they are discontinued everywhere!
So if anyone has a link to an aftermarket aluminum shock cap that would awesome!!!

I had no luck finding hellfire caps off my big bores either. Got these from Integy comes with caps, threaded bodies and 3 different sets of springs. Uses all the internals from your big bores. I've given them a pretty good beating so far with no troubles at all.

They are the Hot racing shock cap upgrades for the Hellfire so they should theoretically fit on the Hpi aluminum big bores for the savage. Anyone know where I can get these?

I had a bunch of money invested in them fancy shocks and had nothing but problems so I ended up building the stock ones from my kit and have never had any issues with them other than a bent shock shaft driver error. My recommendation would just go with the 8 stock plastic ones.

They are Integy T6710. not sure if the caps would fit on the Hpi bodies. They come as a kit anyway, don't think you can get the caps alone.

The caps don't fit on the stock bodies. I also have those shocks and have had great luck with them. They are basically just an aluminum replacement for the shock body itself and the cap. The rest of the parts (shafts, seals, etc) stay stock.
