Dumb question, but how do you remove the clutch and flywheel? I have a k5.9 xl engine. Thanks in advance.

The clutchbell is straightforward. You remove the screw and pull off the clutchbell and bearings. With the springs, you can either pry them off or use a special tool. Prying them can damage the springs, so you may want to make a tool (There is a thread in the how to I think). Then remove the pilot nut. With the flywheel, you don't want to pry it off with a screwdriver. A flywheel puller is the best tool. It is worth its price. It pulls the flywheel off evenly so there is no damage to the crankshaft. If you were to pry it on one side, you risk the damage of bending the crankshaft.

just use a automotive battery terminal puller to remove the flywheel they are like 5 to 10 bucks and work great.
