Hello All,

I decided to tear my truck down to prepare it for my werks racing clutch coming, and i noticed that my rear drive cups are shot?

In the picture you can see the rear one's and 1 of the front, all 6 rear drive cups are shot, but all 6 front ones are still like new? cornfused

I was wondering if anyone could give me some help/tips that would have tore these up.

the rear drive system takes most of the load when taking off so the rear will see more wear than the front. its a normal thing . lubing the drive cups will slow the wear some but it is still metal on metal . i like to use a graphite dry lube on my truck it reduces the wear some and doesnt hold the dirt.

That looks about right. Get on the throttle harder and use the HD Parts not the stock ones. That should help a bit and I've used the graphite and it does help a little.

The cups in your pic are not the HD cups, they are the stockers. the HD cups look like the one you linked from tower.

and what kind of fun would you have if you lifted off the throtle???

HPI Savage - Not for the weak fingered.....LOL :resp:

Those are the heavy duty ones, I believe. The truck started out as a x-ss.

These are the cups that are on it according to the manual and i replaced the worn one with.... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=86277 bad driver

Do they make anything stronger for my abuse? Or should I lay off the throttle a little?

.
just tore down the HF last night & my rear diff cup looks the same...my .02, get the hd cups cuz it is quite impossible to lay off the throttle bro..:FarleyParty:
