I have a a set of Hot Bodies Shocks , and yesterday I Blew three of them ,
Two of which the rod ends came off and the third I bent a shaft , all of the rear of the truck .
I can't seem to locate replacement shafts so i was thinking of putting the BB shafts of them , I think they are shorter and I think I read somewhere they fit .
Will the BB shafts work? would they be a good enough replacement ?
Guess I'll be needing some rod ends too anyone have any recommendations?

was doing some reading tonight .
I'm still hoping someone can share their insite with it .
stock savage shaft is
3x86mm
Big bore shafts are
3.5x90mm
what might these be , What would be a good replacement shaft ?
I truly don't want to buy a shaft that does't fit , either too lose or too tight.
I would like an upgrade rather then a replacement.
for now I'm going to be running stock shocks till I have some idea what to replace the shafts with.

I took the shock apart last night , the lenght is the same as the stock savage.
it used C clips to hold the piston in place rather then the nut,
I swapped it out for a Bolt style shaft and seems to work for now .

Looks like no one has those shocks lol. I knew I could not help ... glad to see your figured out a way

If you are talking about the aluminum hot bodies shocks with purple springs all stock parts fit. I run them when i set my savvy up for the street with 30 wt shock oil.

I couldn't tell you what springs came with them I had Silver I think ,
I know the stock caps use a different bladder system , O-rings rather then bladders , Everything else seems to be working ,.
Problem I was also having was they would keep popping off the top mount . I think thats how I bent my first two shafts ,
rather then going out and buying the fancy alloy mounts I found on New era I have them zip at each corner to each other which seems to work really well , been bashing and jumping with them since I did that with no problem with them.

thanks for the reply though hoodbirdxl
