ho do i take apart a xl diff

i want to shim my xl diff but cant seem to get the half off the ring side that dosent have the gear. all i have is the 21 manual and i don't have a pin in the bottom of it like the 21 did??

only the ring gear comes off, you take the bevel gear off from the inside to remove the cup on the other side. see p. 31 http://www.hpiracing.com/graphics/instr/pdf/10515.pdf

you usually shim the pinion to the ring & then the ring to the pinion.

So what I am gathering from all this reading I've been doing XL diff will drop right into X dif cases? Looking to actually get FLM housings from and rear soon as cash allows, this months extra dough is heading the way of larsen in form of. Extended lcg cf tvp's, can't wait to place that order, but I digress.... Building elec savvy with two speed, what best diff to use if planning to use FLM housings?

i think with the flm diff housings that the xl out drives will not work but i think they released a version that does. and if you are building an electric savy as in a brushless i would get hpi bullet proof diffs and ditch the 2 speed because it will break
