I ssee, I was happy for a second. didnt think they made them any bigger than the ones that go in our trucks. but makes sense.

I would really like to have one of those 400 oz servos but $$$ just cant do it.

as far as I can tell 400oz is just total overkill ... that's helicopter territory ... my brother has just upgraded the servo's in one of his Hirobo Nitro Heli's to using 3 25kg servos on the rotor head ... I think that could in certain circumstance actually compromise a trucks performance.

I found this servo the other day and I think (from looking at the specs) this is a fantastic truck servo ... 14.5kg and a speed of 0.10sec ... not the most powerful servo but that speed is great for that torque ...

I have to disagree with you on that, I don't think the torque would compromise the preformance. IMO speed could cause problems more than torque, even with the 645mg I have the servo speed slowed down or its too touchy for me.

Also with the 133oz of torque I still have tolift my truck for a second every time I turn it on toget rid of that buzz from it trying to straighten the wheels all the way. A lot of trucks have 2 servos just for steering. One of these days I may get one. Maybe high speed for the throttle, but for me I don't think I would want it to fast either.

i went out and bought me a DS8611A ultra high torque for my savage and the performance is crazy.!!!!!!!!

my truck will turn ANYWEHRE.......ANYTIME...... you can stand on the wheels and they will still turn not to mention i also have Big joes on them.(40 series)

Thats a 320oz nice. I am wanting this one http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHZR9&P=7 which you really need the programmer to get full access to its functions, (at least to set them how you want.)

I just noticed that chart is messed up, for example if you click on the one twards the bottom of the list,, that says 417oz it is actually 333oz

jr has a servo thats like over 300 oz of power which is one of the strongest i've ever seen

JR 8711 Servo HAS OVER 400 OZ http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=JRPS8711

I like the hitec ti gear but, well it will be really really hard for me to spend 115 on a servo (much less I have 2 trucks) but then to have to spend another 150 for a programmer, well thats pushing it.

I could see buying that stuff it it was needed for some application, or if you were a serious racer, sojething like that.. still I think about getting one of the HT servos more often than I like. Coreless sounds good too
