High idle after tuning and Adjustment

Can anyone help with this? I tuned the S ran good, adjusted the idle, reran the truck, then stopped it and the idle was pretty high. I readjusted the idle screw lower, and the restarted the car and it won't idle. I then have to readjust it again and it all happens again.

You should look at the carb linkage and make sure the throttle slide is in fact closing all the way.
If it isnt you could make all the adjustments you want and it wont matter. Pull the air filter off and turn the idle screw out a few turns and see if the slide closes. If it doesnt you need to re adjust the linkage so the slide can fully close then turn the screw in so the slide opens about 1mm. At the point turn the radio on and watch what happens to the slide, if it opens more then adjust the trim on the radio to make the slide close to where you set it with the idle screw. Open and close the throttle with the radio a few times to see if its binding up. It should move nice and smooth.
Once you have confirmed that that is working good and the problem still happens look for an air leak somewhere in the engine.

This might sound dumb but how do you adjust the carb linkage? It's not the same as adjusting the brake, right? I have to S's and the funny part is that on one I can adjust the idle by the throttle trim, the other has no effect. It is almost as if the linkage needs to be adjust but not sure how to do it. Do you unscrew the screw that connects to the servo, so that it does not affect the brake adjustment?

take the servo horn off the servo.. turn on the electronics this will put the servos in their "centered" position. Now, with the electronics on and servos centered re-install the servo horn and screw it down snug. I have the Ofna Throttle Mod, so It's alot easier to make adjustments on that then It is for the stock setup.. but get the horns on the servo when they are ON and centered, then make minor throttle trim adjustments to tweak it just a little

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Check the clutches. If they are dragging they will not let you adjust the idle low enough. After my motor mods I had to go to the mugen 1.0 springs to keep my nova clutches off the bell at idle.
