I'm new here, i have a savage 25 with a 28 engine in but it keeps ripping the slipper clutch to bits. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A GOOD UPRATED SLIPPER CLUTCH?

welcome to the site bopster

the slipper clutch is fine, it takes time to perfect the mesh.

but, once you do it will last forever or until the gears move a little from say a crash or a jump.

replace the spur gear
tighten the nut all the way down then back it off 1/4 turn

install the engine(be sure the cb bearings are good)

slide engine / cb up against the spur gear

install the engine screws finger tight.

for this step you can use a piece of paper, slide a small piece of paper between the cb and spur.

when the cb and spur gear are snugged up with the paper in between it will leave you the perfect mesh when you remove paper.

spin the spur gear should be spin smoothly.

if not check everything again.

good luck
