So I just purchased a "2s-6s LiPo Battery Voltage Indicator Checker Tester LED". But, I'm not sure how to use it. I plugged it in and it read 12.5V on a 11.1 Volt LiPo batt. Clearly something is wrong.

Does anybody know how to use these?

Was the 3s batt fully charged? If so, then it's right. A fully charged LiPo cell (1 cell) is actually charged to 4.2v. So, basically, a fully charged 3s (11.1) LiPo batt is actually gonna be charged to 12.6v.

That's great to know. what are all the other forks used for?

You mean the other 3 prong? It can be used to check voltage on 2s-6s (2 cells-6 cells) LiPo battery. You have 7 prong total.1 is for the negative lead from the cell. And the other 6 are for the positive lead from the individual cells in each battery. Since your checkin a 3s battery, your only gonna use 4 prongs and there should be 3 left exposed and not used. If you were to check a 5s pack, you'd only use 6 and have 1 left exposed. Hope that was explained good enough.

That's perfect.. thanks I understand now
