Hardened spur?

hey guys I need to change from the stock XL 52/16 to a 48/16. will a Robinson racing hardened spur work with the stock clutch bell or do i have to match hardened spur with hardened clutch bell. i cant seem to find a Robinson racing bell for savage X/XL. there site only lists for older savages. i assume these will work but don't want to waste cash if it don't work. help me out please

I run a plastic spur with a Robinson Racing CB. Robinsons spur didnt work out great IMO.. Magnificent1 here on our forums is not liking the RR CB/SG combo he just installed recently.

If I remember correctly, the 52 on an XL is steel and the cb is a HPI racing bell which is also hardened so you should be ok. If you need to step the spur down, go with a HPI steel 49t. Should get you to what you want and I think its cheaper.

yeah you need the hardened cb but if you have the XL your cb is already the hardened one
