When I bought the GT3C, it advertised a built in failsafe...But the downloaded manual I have don't show it, and I lost the cr that came with it....One of the perks of a 3 yr old. My question is, does it actually have one, is it automatically set, or do you have to activate it? When I turn my controller off, it does nothing won't apply the brakes or anything.

Yes it has a built in failsafe, to setup my gt3b first turn on TX,next turn on the rx, press the setting button on the rx,while pushing throttle to brake, while led is flashing, when it stops flashing it is set up to stop the truck if signal is lost, check it after setup to make sure it is set correctly, it took me a few tries to get it right and now it works great
Hope this makes sense to ya,

Ok got that part done, now I'm having problems getting into the global menu everything I've read says press enter _ long and the model and name will start blinking..... But no matter how longi push enter for it won't go into the menu

i think on mine I rotate the scroll wheel to get to what ya wanna adjust, I had to play with my radio awhile till I figured out which thing did what.... once ya figure it all out ya have one of those homer simpson moments and say that makes perfect sense. I do wish the radio came with a better manual, most all mine is in chinese and I got no dvd with it....

I think to get to the adjustments I'm trying to get to, you have to have it hacked....or the 0.6.1 firmware which I'm not sure you can do yourself with an update......I Def have the older firmware, a way to tell is when you adjust the trim via the buttons you can only adjust the trim by 30.....The updated version you can adjust it by 99.

Well ya lost me when ya said hacking, only hacking I do is when I am building something 😀
my gt3b I can get all the functions easily, I wouldnt see why one would have any trouble with the software inside the unit, but I aint good with electronic stuff that involves hacking LOL
What functions are ya trying to access by the way.....

These are the settings I'm trying to get to.

5. Global Setup
To access the global setup menu, from the Home screen press ENTER-LONG. Menu items MODEL and NAME will blink. The option is selected when the number display is flashing by rotating SELECT. To change the value, press ENTER and rotate SELECT to select the value for that option. Press ENTER to return to the option selection.

Option Parameters
F – Firmware version Can’t be changed.

L – Backlight time, sets how long the backlight stays on after menu activity. 5 seconds, 10 seconds,…1 minute…10 minute, MAX (never turn off)

I – Inactivity alarm in minutes. OFF, 1m…10m

LOW POWER! – Voltage threshold before the radio sets the low power alarm 2.0v to 10.5v

C – Default number of channels 2 to 8

E – Maximum allowed endpoint value 100-150%, DANGER - values greater than 120% can damage your servo or may not work because of limitations of the 2.4GHz hardware. A setting of more than 120% will result in a flashing % symbol.

A – Analog settings S00-S50 – Steering dead zone T00-T50 – Throttle dead zone A_4/A_1 – Number of ADC (Analog to Digital) values to sample

b - Beeps K_N/K_Y – Key press beep V_N/V_Y – Beep on trim values set to center/neutral or reset P_N/P_Y – Power on beep C_N/C_Y – Beep if wheel or throttle not centered when powered

d – Long press key delay 100-1000ms on

o – Lock keys until ENTER- LONG is pressed No/Yes

UUMMMM Ya most of that is above what i know about. I just aint that technically minded these days.... Sorry, maybe one of the other guys will chime in and help ya figger that all out.....

Can you tell me the step by step what you did with the gt3c to accomplish this?

I have a post in this same thread detailing how to set up the failsafe onboard Rob..... see post # 2
