Hey guys, so today at my landfill bash I lost 2 grub screws, same diff cup. . .

I've blue loc-tite'd since the first one came out, any other tips to keeping them in?

did you let the loctite sit for at least 20 minutes? its 20 minutes for use and 24 hours for cure. when used correctly loctite does the job

yea let it cure, if it still does not work use red loctite only use this on the grub screws.

Yup, blue loctite and sits until next bash session, days-weeks later, only time I don't use loctite is when I'm out bashing and need a quick fix.

Do you do tighten them up good with a decent hex wrench? Its suprising how much extra torque you can get on them grub screws with wrench that wont slip.

this last summer had alot of wet grass and I got addicted to wd-40 .loctite or CA would come loose so I started cleaning the scew and its seat with carb cleaner and all is good

first post , how did I do

Never thought about cleaning the seat threads. . . I've give it a try next time.

And when I tighten it up, I use the small allen wrench and take a pair of plyers to give me a little extra torque.

when you use locktite there is no need to wrench the screws down as tight as you can. I usually put on the loctite and tighten the screw with moderate power until it stops...the end. never had any issues

not too bad but wd-40 doesnt help keeps screws tight lol

I need to, i always use loctite and they still always come loose after a few runs unless i tighten them up real good and since i have been i havnt had one come loose yet, i don't mean overtighten by any means, just a little extra torque helps.

I don't think he meant use WD to keep the screws tight, he meant excess WD use was the cause of his coming loose and using carb cleaner cleaned the threads to allow good threadlock adhesion.
