ok, so I bought the onboard glow igniter today, and I have a question. the directions tell you to hook it up to a single cell NiCad battery. I was wondering if it would be ok to hook it up to my receiver pack? its a 5 cell NiMH.

What about wiring the batteries in series vs. Parallel? I'm not sure which way but one way increases the volts and the other way would increase the run time. It has been 20 years since I used to make battery packs for my rc's but maybe someone here knows for sure. Just a thought. Seems to be some smart guys here.

Unfortunately series vs parallel is irrelevant unless he wants to tear apart his battery packs. And even then he would still need two different sources for the reciever and the glow igniter.

For your reference: batteries in series add the voltages for the total. Batteries in parallel, assuming voltages are the same among all packs, the voltages will equal the value of one pack but the amp/hours will be additive.
