Ok so I read all the charts and am a bit confused. I get the bigger the clutch bell the more top end but less acceleration. Heres my question. I am running a savage 4.6 with 17cb and a 49sg and a 3 speed tranny. Is this good for racing or should I change it up? Also running a savage 25 with a 15cb and 47sg(this is more torque right) are these good setups for my first race or should i be running something different?

welcome to the forum... well i don't race but yes you got it right the bigger the cb and smaller the sg the faster it is .. the smaller the cb and bigger the sg the more torque it makes... as for raceing i think your first several races are a learning experiance to say the least.... i say go and run a race the way you got it ... watch the other guys trucks compaired to yours ... see if they got faster take offs in the corners or faster speeds in the straight aways,, then youll know if you need lower gearing or higher gearing..and they might even help you out on questions you got if you just ask and they know your new to it ..good luck hope it helpd you out ... tc happy racing ..

ok cool tks for the advice. I'm gettin um set up tomorrow so i figured id check before I put them all back together. I'm thinkin of getting the racing cb. just to help it keep cooler. Oh yeah I know what a glow plug is when does that go away lol?
