well I'm going to be getting some of the baja badlands just as soon as the 24mm hubs become avaliable from tcs rock crawlers, my question is what gearing would be good for these tires? I'm not racing and don't really need speed I'm just jumping and playing in the dirt need something that will get me up those jumps from a close range if need be. I'm running an LRP .28 spec 3 mill and my gearing now is 49/17, i was thinking of 52/15 for some more torque even before the tire change can't seem to do any wheelies at all doesn't seem to get up and go i do believe i have the tune right it sounds good and my temps are about 220 230 I'm thinking my gearing might not be working for me though. any suggestions would be nice, cause the way I'm getting gearing is the more teeth on the the SG and the less teeth on the CB equals more off the line speed (or flip your truck on the lid power, ) and the less teeth on the SG and more on the CB equals SPEED. am i right or wrong? thanks for any suggestion on gearing. or any help

A stock lrp will flip a truck on its lid 18/47 thats with a extended chassis. 19/47 it will still stand up and get speeds above 45 MPH. The 52 spur is for trucks that are complete dogs IE: .32 + A 3 speed further reduces the ratio like what comes on the 5.9.

After 2:14 this is my LRP .28 spec3 on 19/47 standard chassis.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zWzTZju1os

mine is no were near that much speed or power, and I'm using 30% nitro maybe i don't have it tuned right. or like i said the 49/17 gearing sucks with this motor.

well i put in the 18/47 combo and will try that, but it that combo handle the baja badlands? i don't have them yet cause the 24mm hubs are still on backorder, but i was just wondering,

no i don't i will try and get a vid of mine on monday with the new combo.

why not the Mt badlands ? is the mill new ? if so you will see power over time. New clutches add to this too.

i find the mt badlands to small to me anyway, i have a little over a gallon of fuel run through her so far and my clutches I'm using the the twin turbo clutch system, bought those when i bought my mill

what twin ? carbon or blue glass. That may be your issue .... If blue I would not put a larger load on it. (baja tire)

Yeah I have the blue ones only cause that's all they had do u know where I could get the black ones? I originally wanted the black ones but amain didn't have them when I started this re-nitro project, and they are still out. I had to settle for the blue ones, I went with this clutch system cause it was really simple to install.
