Went to the Hobby Shop today and got some wisdom from the guy working there. When you are adjusting your gear mesh, put a piece of notebook paper in between the gears, push them together, remove the paper, and voila! Perfect gear mesh.
 
yes the paper trick is pretty much common knowledge but still thumbs up to ya for the effort.....
 
also if you hold the clutch bell and move the spur there should be a little play enough that you can hear it tinging on steel or rattle-ish on plastic. Theu should not be so tight that the spur has extremely little 2 to no play
 
keep in mind some paper is too thin, not all works. Printer paper you normally have to fold in half and use it twice as thick. Note book paper is super thin keep this in mind.
